The woven flap crossbody in the most organic and leather-adjacent colorway of the lineup — the Moda Luxe Tanya Crossbody in Chocolate brings the compact, structured rectangular flap silhouette and mixed suede-and-smooth vegan leather basket-weave checkerboard to its warmest and most understated expression. In chocolate, the two-material checkerboard reads as a tonal dark-brown study in texture: the matte chocolate suede squares alternate with slightly deeper, more polished espresso-brown smooth vegan leather squares, creating a two-value warm-brown checkerboard where the contrast is less about color difference and more about the difference between suede’s velvety light-absorption and smooth leather’s polished surface depth. Of the three Tanya colorways, chocolate sits at the midpoint — more visibly two-toned than the black’s single-color tonal finish contrast, and more understated and organic than the burgundy’s explicit dusty-wine vs. deep-wine split. The result reads closest to genuine leather of the three colorways: rich, warm, and deeply textural in a way that reveals itself fully only in close-up light.
