Hand wash cashmere in cold water with a gentle wool or cashmere detergent. Press the water out — don’t wring — then lay it flat to dry. Never put cashmere in a hot dryer; heat is what makes it shrink. Our cashmere mock necks and crew tees are made to be worn often, so wash only when needed and store them folded, not hung.

A little pilling on cashmere is normal in the first few wears, especially under bags and seatbelts. Use a cashmere comb and it usually settles. Wear velvet pants with a simple cashmere crew or mock neck for day, or with our velvet blazer for evening. Slim-leg velvet looks polished with boots; wide-leg velvet works with a tucked knit and a structured tote. Keep the top matte so the velvet is the statement.

Quality mohair should feel plush, not scratchy — especially in a blended turtleneck or boxy crew like the ones in this collection. If you’re sensitive, wear a thin silk or cotton layer underneath. Care for mohair the same way as cashmere: wash in cold water, use a gentle detergent, and dry it flat. Don’t hang it, which can stretch the yarn.

Don’t machine-wash structured velvet. Spot clean, steam on low from the inside, or dry clean. Hang velvet pants and blazers so the pile doesn’t crush. If it looks flat after wearing, a light steam from a distance usually brings the nap back.

Online orders can be returned within 14 days of delivery for store credit or exchange. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and tagged. If you mail it back, a $7 return label applies; you can also return to either of our Connecticut stores. Sale and promotional items are final sale. Store credit never expires.

Most Fall 2026 ready-to-wear runs XS–XL. Select contemporary brands, including Joseph Ribkoff, also run numeric sizes 2–22. Handbags are one size.
